CPPNJ - The Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey

The CPPNJ Candidates' Organization

The CPPNJ Candidates’ Organization is a support network for the professional needs of candidates as well as an advocate for issues of concern to therapists in training at the Institute. The Candidates’ Organization is also a vehicle through which candidates can volunteer to be a part of the Candidates’ Organization committees and projects. It has its own separate structure and by-laws and elects the officers of its Executive Committee every two years. It also elects candidate representatives to be voting members of both CPPNJ’s Board and Training Committee. The Candidates’ Organization arranges its own programs of particular salience to its members as well as occasions for socializing.

The Candidates’ Organization is open to all candidates of all divisions of CPPNJ (Psychotherapy/Psychoanalytic Programs as well as the Couples Division). All persons accepted for training at CPPNJ automatically become members in good standing of the Candidates’ Organization. Upon acceptance into the Institute for training, each candidate is contacted by a member of the Executive Committee to acquaint the newcomer with the practical details of study as well as help the candidate become an integrated member of the CPPNJ community.

All candidates are encouraged to become actively involved with the Candidates’ Organization. Dues are $40 per academic year.
